Our Story
Sue Dunlop Consulting Inc. was founded with a clear vision: Canadian businesses deserve technology partners who understand their unique regulatory, operational, and market context. Too many organizations were forced to choose between expensive global consultancies that lacked local knowledge and small IT shops that could not handle enterprise-scale complexity. Dunlop Connect was created to fill that gap.
We built our practice around a simple principle: technology should solve problems, not create new ones. Every engagement begins with listening. We do not arrive with pre-packaged solutions or push products because of vendor partnerships. Instead, we invest the time upfront to understand your business model, your competitive landscape, and the specific outcomes that matter to your stakeholders.
Over the years, we have grown from a solo consultancy into a team of experienced architects, engineers, and strategists who share a commitment to technical excellence and client partnership. While our reach now extends across Canada, we remain grounded in the values that defined our earliest work: integrity, quality, and an unwavering focus on client outcomes.
Our Mission
Dunlop Connect exists to help Canadian organizations harness technology as a strategic asset. We believe that every business, regardless of size or sector, deserves access to enterprise-grade technology thinking. Our mission is to make that possible by delivering consulting services that are rigorous, practical, and transparently priced.
We measure our success not by billable hours but by client outcomes. When your systems run more reliably, your teams work more efficiently, and your leadership makes better-informed decisions, we have done our job.
Our Values
Integrity First
We tell clients the truth, even when it is uncomfortable. If a project is not feasible, we say so. If a cheaper solution exists, we recommend it. Trust is earned through honesty, not salesmanship.
Delivery Excellence
We commit to measurable outcomes and hold ourselves accountable to them. Every project includes defined success criteria, and we do not consider an engagement complete until those criteria are met.
Knowledge Sharing
We believe in building client capability, not dependency. Every engagement includes documentation, training, and knowledge transfer so your team can own and evolve the solutions we deliver together.
Continuous Learning
Technology evolves rapidly, and so do we. Our team invests significant time in ongoing education, certification, and hands-on experimentation with emerging platforms to ensure our advice remains current.
Our Team
Dunlop Connect brings together a multidisciplinary group of professionals with backgrounds spanning enterprise architecture, software engineering, cybersecurity, data science, and IT operations. Our team members hold certifications from AWS, Microsoft, ISC2, PMI, and other recognized bodies.
Every client engagement is led by a senior practitioner with at least fifteen years of industry experience. We do not staff projects with junior consultants learning on your dime. When you work with Dunlop Connect, you work with experts who have solved similar challenges before and can anticipate obstacles before they become problems.
Our team operates with a collaborative ethos. While each consultant brings specialized expertise, we maintain an internal culture of peer review and knowledge sharing. Every major deliverable is reviewed by at least two senior team members before it reaches the client. This quality assurance process has become a cornerstone of our reputation.
Our Footprint
Headquartered at 504 Dundurn Street South in Hamilton, Ontario, Dunlop Connect serves clients across every Canadian province. We have delivered projects in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton, Quebec City, Winnipeg, and Halifax, as well as in mid-sized and rural communities. We understand the difference between deploying technology in a downtown Toronto high-rise versus a manufacturing facility in rural Saskatchewan, and we adapt our approach accordingly.
While we are proudly Canadian in our focus, our team members bring international experience from engagements in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. This global perspective informs our practice and helps Canadian clients understand how their technology investments measure up against international best practices.
